Change is in the air in the Pocono Mountains. As the heat of summertime cools down and the foliage turns, our staff begins production on what has become a seasonal favorite to many of our guests: our annual Haunted Hayrides.

Bring plenty of friends with you- each hayride will seat about 20 or so riders.  After signing up for a specific ride, we will bus you up to our very own Nature Trail, where you will you take a seat in our hay wagons. Once the ride begins, you never really know what you might encounter in the woods! Each scene is unique, and many are based on popular movies and television shows.  If you can survive through the half-hour ordeal, hot cocoa is waiting for you at the finish line!

As seasoned guests will admit, and newbies should know, we here at Woodloch take this endeavor very seriously.  What began about 20 years ago with our staff simply running about the woods in costume has grown to quite the production. Our hayrides now include a full soundtrack at each scene, pyrotechnics, animals, and all sorts of other contraptions to scare you silly. Due to the spooky nature of this event, it is not recommended for small children.

Fear not if you are indeed fearful- our Halloween weekends also offer costume parties, candy hunts, and children’s arts and crafts.  Make sure that you bring your costumes!! We will also offer many of our traditional family activities, like Scavenger Hunt and Family Feud.

And did I happen to mention, the foliage on Lake Teedyuskung can be quite spectacular?
