The autumn season brings many marvelous events to the table: the spectacle of brilliant foliage, the spooky holiday of Halloween and of course good times with family and friends around the Thanksgiving feast. For many (myself included), one final entity makes fall even better: the return of football.

For the second year, during the weekend of November 18th-20th, Woodloch will be hosting a Penn State Weekend, as the Nittany Lions travel to Columbus to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes. Activities will include a bonfire pep rally, football themed trivia games, a “biggest fan” contest, arts and crafts for the little ones, Scavenger Hunt and other special events.  Before game time, guests will enjoy a special tailgate party featuring all of your favorite stadium games and festivities. As always, expect great food and drink specials throughout the game!

Last year, the Lions lost a heartbreaking contest to the Buckeyes, 38-14. But change is certainly in the air this season. The Buckeyes have been off to a slow start amid a major coaching change and the suspension of key athletes. However, this team, especially at Columbus, should never be underestimated.  Meanwhile, Penn State has had some close calls but prevailed in several contests early on this season. The team has yet to settle on a starting quarterback and has had a few key players taken out by injuries. This sets up for an exciting contest.

Reservations for this weekend are still available, and we are offering a special 15% discount for both Penn State and Ohio State alumni. Woodloch is also offering discounts for reservations of 10 rooms or more so make a reunion out of it and save!

And remember... WE ARE PENN STATE!!!
