poconos skiing

It’s truly amazing how quickly Mother Nature can change her mind.  Here I was happily enjoying the fall season in the Poconos, watching the leaves change, getting ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving and then…I had to shovel snow.  Snow, you say?  You better believe it.  I wasn’t even to Halloween yet before the first major snow storm of the “season” hit, dropping about a foot of snow on the area.  Truly amazing, indeed.  Even though this was abnormal, it still got me thinking about this upcoming winter.

Wintertime is perfect for some Poconos skiing and snowboarding, some of the best activities to do on those cold and snowy days.  If anyone is looking for an all-inclusive ski or snowboard package, plus have the added bonus of many different other activities at their fingertips, Woodloch Pines is the place to be.  Woodloch enjoys a unique relationship with Ski Big Bear, located about ten minutes away from the resort property.

Ski Big Bear is an ideal destination for any skier, whether novice or expert, and provides the same level of hospitality that people have become accustomed to at Woodloch.  I consider myself a perpetual novice, and take it from me, Mast Hope Mountain is an excellent place to learn.  Whether it’s the helpful staff, the bunny slop with the magic carpet, or the many different trails with varying difficulty, everyone is bound to have a good time.  It’s Poconos skiing at its finest.  If you’re looking for some information on the basics of skiing, I found a great article that will provide some needed information.
